A Love We Cannot Afford

We are sinners.. All of us. It is undeniable. Romans 3:23-"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
This implies that every human to ever have lived on planet earth is a sinner, or someone who offends the perfection of God Almighty.
Romans 6:23-"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord."
For being offenders of God's glory, we deserve death, but not just the death every human meets; a painful and terrible punishment, because we denied the God of the Universe and ignored Him by our actions. This the sad reality, John 3:18- "Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned,  because he has not believed in the name  of the One and Only Son  of God." Apart from God, there is death. Since God is perfect, he will not tolerate any imperfection to thrive.

There is hope though! The second half of Romans 6:23-"...but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord."

John 3:16-"For God SO LOVED the world, that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life."
God may have to punish impurity and sin, but He loves His creation none the less. Therefore, God chose to pay for our sin, out of His unfailing love. Psalm 106:1- "Hallelujah! Give thanks to the Lord , for He is good; His faithful love endures forever." The God of all loves us so much, that he sent Jesus Christ (God in human form), to live a perfect life, by never sinning. This proves that Jesus was fully God, and fully man.
So, Jesus Christ lived without sinning once, then He did as God desired and gave His own life to pay for the sins of the world. So, as Christ was beaten, broken, then nailed to a cross, God's righteous wrath needed to be sated and Christ took on all the punishment of sin on that wooden cross. In this sacrifice, the way to humanity's freedom was revealed.
Romans 10:9- "If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”  and believe in your heart  that God raised Him from the dead,  you will be saved."
This applies to everyone.
This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it has changed my life.
Their is hope in the name of Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17-"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Behold, the old is passed away and the new has come."
There is a God and He loves every human being dearly. The most amazing thing about this love is that God loved us first, He will never stop loving us, and He is always wanting us to love Him back. This divine, saving love is entirely supplied by God.
The righteousness given to us by God is from Him, not us.
Titus 3:4-6- "But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us  — not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy  — through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit. He poured out this Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior"
This love that changes us, makes us new, fills us with joy and hope is a gift and it is far beyond what we deserve or could ever afford.
Thank You, God!
